I've spent my artistic career abstracting and translating the landscape and patterns of my natural surroundings: the outline of flowers and vines, the transparency of water reflecting sky, and shells and seaweed from the Cape Cod shore.

Each of my recent experimental etchings, monotypes and monoprints is a unique variation. Multiple colors of ink, applied in many ways, combine with the characteristics of the plate and different papers when they are rolled through the press under pressure. The right alchemy and meticulous technique enhances and brings up the image.

Since graduating with a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design, I've worked as a graphic designer and gallery director while maintaining a printmaking studio in New Hampshire from 1982-1990, and from 1998 through the present in Tivoli, NY. During those years, I've had fellowships at the MacDowell Colony, a residency at St. Anselm's College, two Mentorships at Zea Mays Print Studio in 2016 and 2018, and exhibited widely in numerous solo and juried exhibitions, with prints in over eighty corporate and private collections, and in the U.S. Government Art in Embassies Program.
